Have you seen Mr. Yankovic’s movie, UHF? Well, this evening I went over to a friends house along with a couple others that arrived as well, and one of them was looking through the stack of DVD’s that were on the shelve for us to watch. And, guess what, (you probably know what they picked).. in case you haven’t figured it out by now, they chose to watch UHF.

UHF, a movie that Mr. ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic and Jay Levey had written back in the good ‘ol year I was born in, 1989. It’s genre is, of course, comedy. But I believe I would want to file it under ‘Hideous & Retarded’. Literally, if you have not seen it, I’m sorry to say this, you need to watch it so you actually know how retarded a movie can get.

Yes, yes, I know that there are other movies that should be filed under ‘Hideous & Retarded’ as well, but, that’s not the point of this post!!

Anyways, I just wanted to report and how I spent part of my stupid evening.

The Sims… you all should know about the game and what it is. The Sims is one hell of a legendary game that is pretty kickass the first time you play it, no matter what age you are. [More The Sims Information]

Anywho, on various websites, people are saying that EA has sold the movie rights for The Sims to Fox. When I first read it, I had few thoughts myself.

1. Oh Shit.. >.>
2. EA, big mistake to sell to Fox, of all companies.
3. EA must be getting dead with The Sims?
4. And oh shit… again.

Well, I’m sure people that have operated websites or basically even check the simplest thing as e-mail, we know what spam, in the virtual word is.

I was reading Digg and came across this one website that talked about Captcha. If you don’t know what Captcha is, it stands for “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart.” Yes, I know, it is a completely retarded and obscured name, which is why some smart person invented the idea of an acronym. (Thanks. :))  And basically what Captcha is usually a dynamically generated image that displays text, numbers, or a combination of both that a person must enter to “verify” that they are a “human”. Anyways, this website I was reading it is talking about a new way to use the “captcha” idea.  It is called “reCAPTCHA”.  The creators of this is are use the same idea as Captcha but adding a “second word” in the image.  This image isn’t really understood by humans. But the basis of this idea is to help OCR (Optical Character Recognition) improvement, which is used in digitizing books.

Personally, the I like this idea of reCAPTCHA, but at the same time, it could be irritating to enter 2 words rather than just 1, when at times itself, it can be annoying and irritating to enter a word in the first place to tell the computer you’re human.  (How ironic. -sigh-)

Okay,

So I was listening to my music earlier and I’ve came across a few weird songs, that just make me laugh. I’ve uploaded them into a playlist and you can listen to them below.

So, I arrive at work today near 3 o’clock in the afternoon… yes, on my birthday, and I look at the sign at the front near where you walk in, usually near some doors and I see that it says “Special of the Week: PASTA SAMPLER”. My first thought that came to mind was “Oh shit, this night & week is going to suck.” Making the pasta sampler can be a real bitch at times.

So the night goes on, and we started off slow then a big rush just came in out of no where. We literally went from having 2-3 tables in the dining room to about 3/4 filled in a matter of 5-10 minutes. I was like, holy shit, here comes hell. >.>

Of course, when the tickets start coming back, it is the usual:
Prime Rib
Baked Potato
Salad
(Beverage)

Then, hidden in the large stack of tickets are 7 pasta samplers. My mouth dropped and I was like “I’m going home, screw this.” Why, of all things, do we have to have pasta samplers? They take a good 15-20 minutes to make. (Not going to go into detail on why it takes thing long)

Moral of the story, I hate pasta, especially the pasta samplers at work.

There’s my ranting about work tonight. ^_^

Yes, last night was the season finale of 24 - Season 6 (Day 6 in Jacks’ world). I must say, I wasn’t too pleased with this season. It was just another dragged on season that had Jack basically kill some people, have Jack be hurt by somebody mentally / emotionally and in the end, save the day some how.

Whooptie-doo that Phillip Bauer (played by James Cromwell) had to be the big bad ass that, of course, had to be, of all people, Jack’s father. What was probably the great part of the 2-hour season finale was that Josh Bauer (Phillip’s grandson & Jack’s nephew) ended up shooting his grandfather in the shoulder, instead of Jack coming to the rescue before he could get a shot off. I literally threw my arms up and shouted “YES!” when that happened. I gave props to Josh. ^_^

Another note, the stupid fucked-up Federal Agent Mike Doyle (played by Rick Schroder) finally got screwed over! I, personally didn’t like Doyle for various facts that I shall note state (in case he may OUT OF THE ORDINARY) happen to read this (I’m not keeping my hopes up) so he will not get upset with me. :d When the exchanged was going down to trade off Josh to Phillip for the circuit board that literally would have made the big bad USA and Russia go to WAR over… how sad (almost as sad as the Iraq War [That’s a whole other subject -_-]). But, Phillip had sent a “fake” circuit board, when exploded in Doyle’s face when he tried to test it to make sure it was legit. I literally laughed my ass off when that happened and was quite happy that he finally got “hurt”. (I know, I am so cruel some times - oh well, its life - shit happens - get over it)

Anyways, enough rambling on those few points of the (awful) season finale of 24. I am actually ready for 24 - Season 7 (the produces claim it is a “reboot”, so we shall wait and seeeeeeeeee…)

Scary & sadly enough, I have turned the so-called ‘big 1, 8′ today.
